Rare sold out Eloise by Maisa Said is a beautiful, chunky baby. She is 21 inches long and weighs 6 pounds 1 ounce. Ellie has a perfect, peaceful sleeping baby face that is common in Maisa Said babies. Her kit has been sold out for quite some time but I managed to grab one of the last few available and could not wait to bring her to life.

She is painted with heat set paint and includes fine details such as mottling, veining and capillaries. Her tiny finger nails alone have 4 shades of paint. Some details are so small they are hardly seen by the human eye but give an overall effect of realism. She has full vinyl limbs and a doe suede body filled with fine glass beads surrounded by soft polyfill. She wears a size 2 diaper and 0 to 3 month clothing. Because of her size she is fun to dress. Most clothing is too big on reborn babies, but not Ellie, she fits in lots of clothes. She takes a magnetic pacifier. She is floppy like a real baby, her head needs support.

Her hair is painted in multiple shades of dark brown for a 3-D look. Her hair has a swirl and wispy edges. He eye lashes are rooted in dark brown.

As in all my reborns, quality is important. Ellie’s eye lashes and pacifier magnet have been double glued. In addition, her pacifier has a moleskin cover to insure it stays put. Her flanges have a hard-smooth covering which allows her connectors to be nice and tight yet makes her limbs move easily. Her paint is sealed with American Soft Touch Varnish. This gives a nice matt finish that is smooth to the touch.

Ellie is such a pretty baby she was enjoyable to bring to life.
